Here are a few pretty Valentines for you to see. This Candy Conversations single stamp is retired, but can be found right now on the Stampin' Up! clearance rack.
I just love the worn, vintagey feel I got on this card (kind of by accident) by stamping off the ink one time.  Don't you just love when a mistake ends up having a cool effect?!
This card is just delightfully shimmery! It makes me smile. I used the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint in a Stampin' Spritzer with some rubbing alcohol to create the shimmer spray.

Don't forget to make something pretty for your Valentine!

Pinterest CASE...MDS style!

Who loves to pin stuff? I know I do! Today I'm sharing a layout inspired by one of my recent pins. Well, I shouldn't use the word "inspired" this time, because it's pretty much a direct CASE.
Most often, my Pinterest-inspired scrapbook creations veer pretty far from the original, but this time I wanted to show how you can use all the awesome MDS downloads to recreate something beautiful you found.
Here's my page (It's 12x12 on a white background.):
You can view the original here.  I certainly don't want to take credit for the design. But how cool is it that I used only MDS products to recreate it??!! Go ahead and try it!  You'll be amazed by what you can create and you'll feel great about actually doing something with some of those Pins you've collected. :)
Oh, don't forget to head over to my SU! online store to check out the new downloads that were released today. Even a freebie!

Chalkboard Technique

The card I'm sharing with you today is one I made for a swap with my fabulous Stampin' by the Sea teammates. I used a super trendy technique:
Chalkboard Style!

Guess what? It's really super easy to do!
To achieve this cool effect, you need a few important things:
Basic Black cardstock
Versamark Ink
Whisper White Stampin' Emboss Powder
Embossing Buddy (I never heat emboss without it!)
Heat Tool
Whisper White Craft Ink & a sponge
(All of these can be purchased online from my website.)

Here's how you do it:
1. Rub the Embossing Buddy over the front of your piece of black cardstock.
2. Stamp your image with Versamark ink.
3. Sprinkle on the Stampin' Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess.
4. Heat it up till it's all melty.
5. Now here's the part that provides a cool effect...swirl around your stamped image lightly with the sponge & white ink (to look like leftover chalk dust).
Now you're a pro! Go wow your friends!

Oh, by the way, did you see all the other Spring Mini yummies all over that card? That catalog is truly amazing.... beautiful colors throughout & shabby fun embellishments.
Be sure to check it out here.

Other supplies used:
Crumb Cake cardstock
Primrose Petals CoreDinations cardstock
Print Poetry 4x6 Designer Series Paper stack
Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder & Bigshot
Stampin' Distress Tool
Stampin' Sanding System
Stamp Set: Feel Goods
Vintage Trinkets (antique safety pin)
5/8" Flower Trim
Linen Thread
Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon

One more thing! I now have a Facebook Page! Yes, FINALLY! So scoot on over to Sweet Escape Studio & like my page for lots of creative fun! I'm committed to bringing you some sort of daily creative inspiration.
