Chalkboard Technique

The card I'm sharing with you today is one I made for a swap with my fabulous Stampin' by the Sea teammates. I used a super trendy technique:
Chalkboard Style!

Guess what? It's really super easy to do!
To achieve this cool effect, you need a few important things:
Basic Black cardstock
Versamark Ink
Whisper White Stampin' Emboss Powder
Embossing Buddy (I never heat emboss without it!)
Heat Tool
Whisper White Craft Ink & a sponge
(All of these can be purchased online from my website.)

Here's how you do it:
1. Rub the Embossing Buddy over the front of your piece of black cardstock.
2. Stamp your image with Versamark ink.
3. Sprinkle on the Stampin' Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess.
4. Heat it up till it's all melty.
5. Now here's the part that provides a cool effect...swirl around your stamped image lightly with the sponge & white ink (to look like leftover chalk dust).
Now you're a pro! Go wow your friends!

Oh, by the way, did you see all the other Spring Mini yummies all over that card? That catalog is truly amazing.... beautiful colors throughout & shabby fun embellishments.
Be sure to check it out here.
