Baby Shower Invitations

Hi everyone. Have you been missing me? Yes, there are times when real life takes over and I don't have the time to do all the things I'd like to be doing. Do you ever feel that way? LOL

I have been busy on the creating end, just haven't been able to share lately. The good news is that I have lots of stuff ready to share. (And I'm still working on that first video...stay tuned!)
I've had several projects commissioned lately by friends and friends-of-friends. Today I'm going to share the baby shower invitations I created using MDS2 and some of our super cute downloads.
I blacked out the contact info in the interest of privacy, but you get the idea. There are not really big gray smudges on the invite. ;)

These were custom made to fit my friend's wishes for a baby boy shower invitation where guests are requested to bring a special book for the baby's first library. That's what I love about MDS2! I started with a blank card and just got busy designing! The Storytime Collection DVD elements were perfect for this project. I also created a bookplate label, copied 8 times on a separate 8 1/2 x 11 blank page, and printed it out on full sheet inkjet label paper to be cut out. The label was attached to the invite with a tiny bit of Snail adhesive so it can be removed, written on, and attached to the inside cover of the gifted book. Ingenious, huh?! ;)

By the way, the Stampin' Up! print services are reasonably priced (these invitations were $1.31 each due to quantity discount) and the quality is amazing! Seriously, if you haven't ordered print products yet, you have to see them to appreciate them!

One more thing... the recipient of these invitations said they were "perfect!" That makes me smile! I love sharing my creativity with others and making people happy!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is filled with sunshine! :)
